Captain Grant’s 1754, LLC Bed & Breakfast Hotel in Mystic, CT

We spent the last week of october at Captain Grants.My husband and I. And ended up sleeping one night at the green house and three nights at the main house.Both rooms were full of charm,nicely quiet and had a real 1700"s feel.Both houses restorations had been updated to the 21st century but both kept visualy period correct, not overdone.Carol and Ted could always be found if needed and both they and thier friendly house keeping staff were extremely helpful in our daily needs and in helping with directions and reccomendations for visiting and,or eating at some wonderful nearby designations.A really impressive full breakfast awaited us each morning,always differnt,always delicious and with two kinds of home made jams or jellies that is also available to purchase. Carol shows great pride in everything that she does and has done. Ted has a calming deep voice and is quite a conversationalist. A very nice man.Both Carol and Ted joined us and other house guests at the kitchen table each morning. The grounds are large with fruit trees and not too much lighting at night. The parking was ample,private.Truly everything about our stay was just wonderful.You just can not go wrong staying there. WE LOVED IT....

We stayed for one night and it was wonderful. We did see (or hear) any ghosts, however it was very quiet and relaxing. Only a few minutes from the Mohegan Sun Casino. Carol & Ted are very nice innkeepers. The breakfast is very good. They are adding on to the home to make a larger dining area and TV room

My boyfriend and I took this trip as a little escape from Manhattan and it was wonderful. We were greeted by Ted and Carol, the lovely owners and Molly, their sweet cat (outdoor cat). We enjoyed a beer on the deck before spending the day in Mystic, which was great. We stayed in the holly room. The bed was incredibly comfortable and all of the lamps had very dim options for maximum relaxation. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The breakfast was unbelievable. We entered to find a candle lit table set with beautiful china and silver. We enjoyed cream cheese eggs (amazing), sausage, pancakes and whiskey spiced pears. The pears were the best thing ever and went so well with the pancakes. Carol also cans her own jams which we bought. I cant say enough wonderful things about this quaint and cozy b&b.

My wife and I have stayed here several times, and it's always been fantastic. We always stay in the Elizabeth room. We also go in the offseason to take advantage of the fireplace. As some other reviewers noted, you may find a little dust here and there, but hey, the building is really freakin old! If you want new, modern, and sleek, don't stay here. We love the charm, Ted & Carol are great hosts. Breakfast is always amazing, and the location can't be beat (in between Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun). Last time we stayed, the owners were in the process of adding on, creating a room for guests to use with a pool table. There's also always plenty of free drink (beer, wine, and soda), and food to eat. I highly recommend this B&B.

The property, hosts and overall experience did not disappoint at any level. Ted and Carol run a first-class establishment and are to be commended for the level of service provided. It is an ancient structure by U.S. standards and is what it is. If one appreciates the history and character of such, then the visit will be most pleasant. We would recommend this B&B to others wanting to stay in a piece of history and enjoy good food, service and accommodations
